Bachelors girl
The painting I named "Bachelor girl" is a painting that my husband Roland bought when he was bachelor in the 1940th. and lived in Uddevalla. It is by an artist from that town. We have a family name of that painting "Dream Girl" and lots of people have asked if it is a painting of me as a young girl so there is some resemblance. But when Roland bought the painting we did not know about each other. We met in 1953 and was engaged to be married already after a few months - - -

Ancestress
This framed painting from the early 19th century has been handled down via the oldest woman in my mothers family. We don't know who it is but in the family history it has been named "Stammodern" - that is Swedish for Ancestress. It is an unknown artist and when they have valued the painting before a division of the inheritance just the frame has got a value - not the painting --

The decoration above the altar is made by a local artist. She used the attic window frame from a house to be demolished for the framing. She used quilting technics for the motive.
