This map is showing the counties of Sweden

Sweden-counties
The township where I live is situated at the H in "Hälsingland"
More exact you can find it on this map

My township "Ljusdal" holds the same area as all "Blekinge". The townships in Northern Sweden are quite large in area but not in population.

The names are the counties from Medieval Time. Nowadays the administrative units are a bit different.

About Midnight Sun

Midnight Sun is when the sun not even in it's lowest position in the night is under the horizon. You can see the midnight sun north of the polar circle during summer.

Sweden is a longish country. I live in the geographical middle. Here we don't have the midnight sun but around Midsummer it is not dark even at midnight - at least when there is no clouds. We don't see the stars again until middle August.

The opposite to Midnight Sun is the Polar Night
It is dark at midwinter where I live. But those days when it is a clear sky we even at Christmas time can see the sun above the horizon for a few hours.
