 Mehamn is another of these fishing villages we called at. I really liked to see these northern villages with the houses painted in many colours Grass but no trees, we are above the vegetation limit for trees. The village is situated on Nordkynhalvøya. It is the most northern place on the European mainland 71.0° N 27.8° E  Desolate coastline at Varanger peninsula early Saturday morning Here the mountains are not as high and peaky as where we have passed earlier on the tour.  The southeastern coast of Varanger peninsula is populated Vadsø is the main town in this area  The harbour at Vadsø  Varanger fjord
