This is the view over the chalk mine of Cementa by the village Slite on the eastern coast of Gotland.

 

Ute i denna åker vid Spillings har man grävt fram den största silverskatt som hittats på Gotland. Se hur vackert vallmon blommar utmed åkervägen!

In this field belonging to the village "Spillings" they have excavated the largest treasure found on Gotland. The corn poppies border the path over the fields.

 

 

Detta är den gamla förrådsbyggnaden från 1200-talet vid Vatlings i Fole. Min man har just varit inne och tittat sig omkring på bottenvåningen som varit lagerrum. Nästa våning var en sorts gillesstuga

This is the old storehouse from the thirteenth century in Fole. My husband is just coming out from the basement floor, where they stored things. The second floor was a kind of informal lounge.
